Accommodation details
Accommodation arrangements for Speakeasy students are made by Britannia Student Services. The types of accommodation offered are as follows:
Homestays
Homestays are the ideal type of accommodation for an English language student. Many of our host families live in West London, within walking distance of the school and with easy access to central London.
Students can choose from three options for their homestay accommodation:
- half-board
- bed and breakfast
- self-catering
The most frequently requested meal plan is half board, which means you receive two prepared meals per day (breakfast and dinner), seven days a week. Special diets (eg vegetarian, halal) can be catered for and should be specified at the time of booking.
The bed and breakfast option means that only breakfast is included in your meal plan. Self-catering students must purchase and prepare their own meals.
Hostel accommodation
(Minimum age 18) Hostels can be booked on a bed & breakfast or half board basis. They offer bedrooms for from one to four people. Shower room/toilet amenities are located on all floors, and all bedrooms have a washbasin and refrigerator. Some rooms have en-suite bathrooms and TV sets.
Other facilities include a fully equipped kitchen, bar and restaurant, satellite TV and free use of the internet.
Other accommodation
(Minimum age 18)Other accommodation such as studios and flat shares cannot usually be pre-booked from overseas.
We recommend that long-stay students requiring this type of accommodation initially book to stay in homestays or hostels. We will be happy to help arrange alternative accommodation after arrival.
We can also recommend a selection of good centrally-located budget hotels for you to stay at. Please ask us for details.

Homestays

At the same time, students will have the unique experience of being part of a British home.
